Data security statement

In accordance with the law, we will keep your data for the following periods:

• personal data, used when you first visited Heathfield; the data is kept securely until the end of your tenancy.
  If after visiting Heathfield you opted to live elsewhere, we delete the data after 4 years. The reason for keeping it for that length of time is that sometimes a student visits and decides to live elswhere, but then in a subsequent year decides to live at Heathfield. After 4 years we estimate that you are no longer a student and delete the data.
• financial records (any invoices we have sent you, and rent you have paid) for 6 years.
• tenancy agreements for 6 years after the end of your tenancy (any legal claims have to be made within 6 years of this).
• CCTV monitoring: the recording is kept for a maximum of 90 days, and is only kept longer if it is needed for an investigation.
• emails for 6 years after the end of your tenancy (same reason as for tenancy agreements above).
