Signing out and heading home

We love having you here, but when you go, please…

LEAVE NO TRACE!

Please make sure you follow the guidelines below.

There is a sign-up list in Reception. Please fill it in by 15 June to let us know when you are leaving.

The week before you plan to leave, make an appointment with David or Sarah on your departure day to check your inventory.

Your bedroom

  • Remove all rubbish and recycling and put it in the big bins at the front of the building.
  • Wipe all surfaces, including the window-sill.
  • Check the wardrobe and drawers are empty, and the lino in the cupboards is clean.
  • Hoover the floor – including under the desk and bed!

Common parts (kitchen, lounge, bathroom, corridor)

  • Agree with your flatmates when to clear and clean your flat.
  • Empty all cupboards and drawers, leaving only items belonging to Heathfield. Clean your kitchen cupboard shelves.
  • Empty your fridge shelf and your freezer drawer, and leave them clean.
  • Remove all rubbish and recycling and put it in the big bins at the front of the building.

Please don’t throw away any unwanted items of clothing. If they are in good condition, clean, and not inside-out, leave them in the donation box in Reception and we will donate them to deserving causes. Also any unopened packs/bottles of cleaning products and/or non-perishable food items.

IMPORTANT NOTE

  • If you leave any rubbish in your room a charge of £10 will be deducted from your deposit.
  • If your room is not left in an acceptable condition a charge of £30 for cleaning will be deducted from your deposit.
  • If the kitchen is not left as described above, a shared amount may be deducted from the deposits of each occupant of the flat for any extra cleaning required.
